Maki Sushi Recipe

  • Ingredients:
  • Rice

    • Short grain rice
      sushi rice.
    • Kombu (Dried kelp
      optional
      or add some dashi)
    • Water

    Rice Vinegar:

    • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
    • 3 Tbsp sugar
    • 1 tsp salt

    Obviously
    you need nori (seaweed)

    Inside maki roll:

    • Avocado
    • Cucumber
    • Panko crumbs
    • Surimi fish (Fake crab) or crab
    • Masago
    • Shrimp
    • etc whatever you want.

  • Method:
    1. Prepare sushi rice, I used a rice cooker. Adjust water to rice ratio and stick in the kombu as it cooks.
    2. When rice is done, remove and let it cool. Put sushi vinegar in and mix.
    3. Put rice on nori and put ingredients in. ROLL.
    4. Consume.

    If you don't know how to roll, go look it up on youtube. :( I kind of failed a few times but this is delish!

    My personal mixes were:

    • Panko crumbs, tuna, sriracha and kewpie mayonnaise.
    • California roll: Avocado, surimi/crab and cucumber.
    • Tamago roll. (Egg omelette)
    • Kappa Maki. (Cumber.)
